On May 10, 2024, the International Conference of Young Scientists „Challenge to Researchers” was held at the „Santaros” Gymnasium in Kaunas, in cooperation with KŠIC. The purpose of the conference was to teach students to independently familiarize themselves with the methods of acquiring scientific knowledge, to develop the need for scientific research activity and to deepen existing knowledge.

The scientific conference in the Gymnasium has been organized since 2001, and has grown from the school level to the national and international level. This year, more than 70 students participated in the conference, 50 presentations were prepared. Pupils of „Santaras” Gymnasium, Kaunas city district and foreign schools: Austria, Turkey, Ukraine, Germany presented their works. Presentations can be read in 7 sections: Public education, Lithuanian language and healthy lifestyle, Lithuanian language and creativity, 2 Natural sciences and technologies and 2 International.

The students’ works were evaluated by the teachers of the Art Academy, KTU, VDU: dr. I. Karpavičiūtė, dr. R. Miežanskienė, dr. M. Neff, dr. D. Burbienė, dr. E. Valienė, lecturer D. Berūkštienė, dr. A. Dautartė, lecturer G. Danilavičiene, lecturer K. Bimbiraitė-Survilienė, L. Alsys.

During the conference, Nazilli Anadalou Lisesi students had the opportunity to give a presentation to the audience on the theme of the project „United for Equality” and talk about the importance of this issue in the modern world, talk about stereotypes and prejudices, provide information about the importance of empowering women in various contexts, including education, employment, in health care and management.

The students collected the most liked, interesting and memorable works. All participants were awarded with thanks from the gymnasium and prizes from the sponsors: „Ruta”, „Baltos lankos Klett”, „Humanitas” and „Baltos lankos”.
